As one of the firm's Principals, John serves as President and Chief Compliance Officer. His responsibilities include strategic planning and growth strategies, management of day-to-day operations, supervision of firm employees, development and implementation of compliance policy, portfolio management, and service of the firm's Investment Committee.

Past Experience: Prior to MTM, John was an advisor with the investment advisory firm McHam Taylor & Co., and served as President of the Moore Family Office, Moore Capital. John was appointed by South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley as a Magistrate Judge for Spartanburg County, SC where he served for 6 years. John's judicial and private equity experience provide him with a unique operational, legal, and investment perspective that adds significant value to the advice given to our clients.

Background: John is a graduate of Wofford College receiving a B.A. in Government. He currently serves as the Imediate Past Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Spartanburg Methodist College and on Board of Trustees for The Spartanburg Regional Foundation. He was named Wofford's Young Alumnus of the Year in 2016.

Personal: John and his wife Martha are proud to call Spartanburg home along with their daughter and two beloved yellow labs. He enjoys traveling, attending sporting events, spending time with family and friends, and giving back to the Spartanburg community.
